Covenant Harbor has Christian winter camps for students of all ages. Each one of these camps presents Jesus in a way that relates well to students and challenges them to live their faith out. These camp weekends run for a variety of different age groups and allow students to experience God’s beautiful creation in the winter months.
The Winter Camp Grades 3-6 retreat is a great weekend for elementary aged students to attend with a group from their church with their own leaders. The weekend will be filled with exciting winter activities, fun skits, great worship, a quality speaker and much more.
Winter Camp JR/SR High weekend retreats are designed for junior high and high school students to attend with their church youth groups. Winter Camp weekends are filled with fun and exciting winter activities that students may not get the chance to enjoy at home, as well as top quality Christian youth speakers and exciting worship music.
This program is a great opportunity for students in grades K-6 to experience the best of camp in the winter. Each day of the Winter Day Camp program is unique; sign up for one day or come to all of them. There will be lots of fun outdoor activities along with time indoors to warm up. Campers will be able to go sledding, make fun crafts, sing songs, learn about the Bible and so much more. The camp runs from 8:30 to 4:30 and includes lunch.
Covenant Harbor is a Christian camp, owned and operated by the Evangelical Covenant Church. We exist for the purpose of introducing people to Jesus Christ. The mission statement of Covenant Harbor is to “Draw people from their routines into opportunities to enjoy creation, recreation and relationships so that all will experience God through Jesus Christ.”
Our primary goal with the campers is to love them, share the truth of Jesus Christ with them and to encourage their growth in Christ. We think this happens best when they are building relationships with our staff or their youth volunteers, who are excited to share their faith with others. We do this by building a retreat structure with a Bible program that presents Biblical truths in both large and small group settings. We incorporate drama, songs, skits, games and more into the sessions to make the process of learning about Jesus fun and meaningful. Each truth is presented in an age appropriate manner, and bands and speakers assist us in carrying out this vision during the winter retreats.
We do not force campers to agree with us or to make campers decide what to believe. We simply want to make them aware of a God who loves them and desires a relationship with them.
