Day Camp Skills (Grades K-6)

Dates & Pricing For Summer Camp 2015 Will Be Available In November!

The Day Camp Skills  program is great for campers that want the opportunity to learn and have fun!  Campers will spend four days learning about a skill area of their choice.

Age Groups

Because the majority of campers register in the winter, the grade for our camp programs is based on the current (fall 2013 – spring 2014) school year. Therefore, during the summer Day Camp Skills will be filled with campers who have finished Kindergarten through 6th grades.

Tours

There is only so much you can grasp from pictures and our website. A tour is a great way to see camp for yourself while you hear from our staff details of what camp is like.  Please visit our FAQ section to find out more details about tours.

Discounts

We are sorry but there are no discounts available for the Day Camp Skills program.

Spending Money

At check-in you will have the opportunity to put spending money in your camper’s camp store account. This money will allow them to purchase things in the afternoon at our camp stores. There is candy, soda, water and Gatorade ranging from $.25 to $1.25. Day campers are limited to $3.00 per day on snacks, candy and soda. Water and Gatorade are not limited. They can also purchase camp merchandise from the camp store.

What NOT to Bring

Do not bring cell phones or any pets, electronic devices (including CD players, game systems, and iPods), firearms, weapons of any kind, fireworks, tobacco, alcohol or drugs.

Team Requests

It is great to invite your friends to come to camp with you, and we want to make it possible for your camper to be in a group with his/her friends. There is a spot on the registration form (Teammate Requests), where you can list the names of up to two other people your camper would like to be grouped with. Due to our desire to form a healthy group community, we will not put more than three campers together in one group. If your group is larger than three, campers will be separated in different groups based on first choice teammate requests.

Sunday Night Info Session

If you are new to day camp at Covenant Harbor you might want to get some more information and meet our staff before dropping you kids off. There is an optional information session the Sunday night immediately before your camper’s week. You will meet our program directors, find out who your camper’s counselor is, and take a tour of the camp. You will get more information about this once you have registered.

Check-in

Check-in occurs on the morning of the first day of camp between 8:30 and 9:00. Upon arrival, our staff will greet you at your car and you will go through our drive-through check-in process. Once you have checked in your camper(s) will be able to get out of the car and meet their counselor.

Late drop-off/early pick-up

Late arrival or early pick-up is not recommended and should be considered only in extreme circumstances.  If you must arrive late for any reason please call our office in advance so we may prepare for your arrival.  Early pick up can be arranged at check-in.  We will not allow a camper to be picked up and dropped off more than once during the camp week because of the negative impact it has on your camper and other campers.
