While camp is an important time to get away from many routines of life, we understand that connection with the outside world is still important. Several common spaces around camp offer wireless internet access, and most cell phone providers offer excellent signal strength.

Moms and Daughters Speaker 2017Tammie Ketelsen is the mother of three young ladies: Bayli, Ava and Emry. She is also the wife of Pastor Levi. They are the Campus Pastors of Journey Church in Burlington, Wisconsin, and they have been in ministry 15 years.

During her time with Journey Church, she has been a member of the Core Leadership Team of Journey Women – Ministry to Women and currently spearheads the online ministry community that is called Journey Women Live. This Ministry reaches several communities in the surrounding Southeast Wisconsin and Northeast Illinois areas. She has a heart to encourage women where they are and challenge women to go further in their faith, family, finances and future.

Tammie’s heart for women, their daughters and followers of Christ is that we never forget what God has brought us through. Freedom can be found in sharing our story with others, especially our daughters. The Bible says “They overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the bold word of their testimony.” (Rev. 12:11) Our testimonies are evidence of the ongoing work that God has done in our lives to further His Kingdom.

“God does not give us a testimony to only move on in life. He didn’t give us a testimony to keep it to ourselves. Your testimony has a purpose for God’s use in the future. Your testimony is not only for you but for others.” -Tammie

In her quest to fulfill this purpose, Tammie has spoken to thousands of women and young ladies for the past 3 years at Women’s Conferences and Events. She has great passion for the next generation of ladies, a generation that needs us to share our stories and pour into them. As a follower of Jesus, a wife, a mother, and ministry leader, Tammie is well equipped to give of herself so that others may be free to explore what God has laid on their hearts.

Moms and Daughters 2017 Band Photo 2“Ray and the Gow-Gert” (as the band jokingly referred to themselves after last year’s Moms and Daughters Retreat) are a trio of worship team members from Anchor Covenant Church right here in sunny Lake Geneva, WI.

Rachelle “Ray” Nafziger (vocals/maybe a bass drum?!), Neil “Gow” Gowan (vocals/guitar), and Gert Suhajda (vocals) are stoked to be back this year sharing His word and truth through various music! The trio blends their harmonies to create a folk rock vibe (yes, that’s a thing!).

Fun facts about the band members:

Moms and Daughters 2017 Band Photo 1-Ray is a mother of two children, a Registered Nurse, and a lover of burnt popcorn and Harry Potter!

-Gow is neither a mother nor a daughter, but a father of three children, a video producer and film editor, and an avid meat eater!

-Gert is a mother of two children (and lots of foreign exchange students), an aquatics director, and she has a cool birth mark on her toe!
