Family Camp

Family Camp is a great opportunity for everyone in your family to experience the best Covenant Harbor has to offer, together. For 2014, we have shortened the length of experience but have added some great new features to the camp while at the same time keeping the traditional camp favorites!

There is so much to do – relax at the waterfront, try rock climbing, or have some adult time while we take care of the kids!  Our speaker for this year is Jeffrey Dean, a favorite among our winter teen camps and known nationally as a speaker and radio host. We at Covenant Harbor love when families are able to worship together and we have specifically carved out time to make this happen throughout the Family Camp experience.

Special Feature

The Quest is a brand new concept to encourage family bonding. Join the Quest on the first night, then participate in as many challenges as you’d like throughout the weekend. Through games, activities and adventures structured specifically for families, your family will strengthen relationships. A perfect way to make intentional memories as a family!

We have plenty of great lodging options for all at Family Camp. From the traditional “camp bunks” to staying in the hotel like Geneva Bay Centre you will be sure to find a perfect fit for your family. See below for pricing and availability.

We hope to see you and your family this summer!

Purpose

The purpose of our family camp program is to give families the space and time together that is so hard to find elsewhere.  We want families to grow in the relationships with each other while growing closer to God as individuals and as a family.  Our schedule allows plenty of room for family customization, while carving out space for kids only, adults only and whole-family bonding time.

Tours

There is only so much you can grasp from pictures and our website.  A tour is a great way to see camp for yourself while you hear from our staff details of what camp is like.  Call us today at 262-248-3600 and we would be more than happy to setup a tour for you!

All-Inclusive

The prices for family camp include three nights lodging, meals, programming, access to all of Covenant Harbor’s activities (see below), worship and a Biblical based teaching, childcare options and more.  The only additional expenses onsite are the camp store (snacks and souvenirs) and multiple water sports or adventure activities.  Each family camper receives one token for a water sports activity (tubing, banana boating or the water playground)  and one token for a adventure activity (Climbing Tower, High Ropes, Indoor Climbing Wall or Double Giant Swing).

Families with Special Needs

Families with kids with special needs have a place at Covenant Harbor. From worship to waterfront, campfires and crafts, THRIVE families will enjoy the family camp experience at their own pace. We’ll take care of the details so you can rediscover yourself and your family in an environment designed for you to THRIVE.  Check the THRIVE box on the registration form and include a special needs registration form for the applicable camper.

Kids Team Activities - Campers are separated by age group and supervised by summer staff for the morning.   Babysitting is provided for kids 3 and under.

Kids Real Faith - Our goals of this “Bible teaching” is to introduce campers to the person of Jesus Christ.  Each session is creative and age appropriate, and campers are never forced or coerced to make any decisions.  These times are made very interactive with skits, singing, messy games and creative teaching methods.

Free Time - Several activities are open every day for free time   Some require sign up, and we make every effort that each family member is able to participate in the activities of their choosing.

Evening Activities - These activities are a highlight for most family campers and vary from year to year.  Our desire is to have fun and create lasting memories together.

Activities

Family campers get to experience Covenant Harbor’s great activities.  The price for family camp includes one water sports activity (tubing, banana boating or the water playground) and one adventure activity (Climbing Tower, High Ropes, Indoor Climbing Wall or Double Giant Swing).

Childcare

While whole family togetherness is an important part of family camp, we also understand that adult-only time or time with older kids is important. During free time in the afternoon, spaces will be available for you to check in young children where they will be supervised by Covenant Harbor summer staff. We hope this will maximize your family’s experience and help your family get what you need from family camp.
